Each of us faces moments in our life that are mildly and even deeply unsatisfactory – where life seems out of balance (like a wheel that isn’t in alignment). And, things seem to get more challenging when our existing strategies seem to ‘run out of road.’
As a psychologist, I specialise in promoting wellbeing as well as supporting people experiencing stress, career transitions, and striving for work-life balance. In addition to traditional person-centred counselling, I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, somatic approaches, brief trauma interventions, evidence-based mindfulness interventions, and have been pursuing personal study in eastern philosophy and psychology.
With 20 years of organizational leadership experience, I have also witnessed and experienced the injustices that can arise in organizations/institutions. I invite leaders and health care professionals to reach out if they are experiencing shame, guilt, reduced empathy, and/or lost of trust in oneself or others.
I am in the process of updating my website and offerings – in the meantime, feel free to connect through email: deena.m.martin@gmail.com.
May you be happy, healthy, and may your heart know peace.
